Taken For Granted May 7, 2008
Here is a list of 10 things (not people, this is about things) I have taken for granted. God blesses us so abundantly and may we never cease to thank Him. May we never forget the little things we are so blessed to have.
- Easy access to healthcare
- Insurance
- A car
- A house
- A fridge & freezer full of food
- Vitamins and supplements
- Clothes, shoes, purses, perfumes, make-up, hair products
- Running water
- Heat when I’m cold — AC when I’m hot
- My Bible
Your turn. What is one thing (not listed) that YOU take for granted?

You listed a lot of what I’m thankful for as well! Your question what I’m thankful for? I would say my freedom.
You always get me to thinkin! Thanks.

I was hoping someone would say “freedom”. Good one!!
You both listed some wonderful things I am often guilty of taking for granted. And after thinking about it- I came up with a biggie. Ready for it?
Starbucks. ‘Nuff said.
ROFL!! Yesssssss… Starbucks, where everyone knows my name (or at least the drive thru people).
My healthy children. Whether it is a good day or a bad day (theirs or mine) , I try very hard to never take their good health for granted. I am not talking about strep or ear infections or the complimentary green snot they bring home from school. I am talking about the solid body and sound mind.
That, and M&Ms. Never take for granted the fact that M&Ms remain legal in all fifty states. If the feds knew the joy they bring, I would be so screwed.
Hi Carrie. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Regarding M&M’s — esp the dark chocolate ones. Oh My Heaven! And YES YES about healthy kids. YES!!
